remember this?
with a 15k budget and only 2 weeks of filming,
this movie is way better than you would expect it to be based on the resources it had.
i have never, in a theatre 3/4 filled with people, heard so much screams by both girls and guys alike throughout a horror show, to the extent that this girl a few rows away cried.
watch the trailers and you'll know what i mean.
even i also chua-tio-ed at some point of the show okay.

anyway, it's not your typical horror show.
no ghost in the mirror/tv/window,
no suffocation caused by the shower curtains while bathing,
no sudden shadowy figure walking past, catching you (and the main lead) by surprise,
no ugly and/or disfigured ghosts appearing in the main lead's nightmares or hallucinations (or not),
no ghost sitting on the bed,
and no "dammit, why can't you all just believe me this once?!?!?!" scenes. ie, the weird things only happen to that one main lead for a stretched period of time.

aye, the effects were good.
the sense of realism was there.
what's scary is that you would grow to realize at some point of the show that even if you don't see it, it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

certainly not for the weak-hearted,
although i would still recommend this show because it's really well made!
