met up with lilian today to satisfy our long overdue superdog craving.

more than that.

whatever happened was very much similar to ted mosby's "Schlagel's Bagels" story. (HIMYM Season 4, Episode 22: Right Place, Right Time)

basically, too much of a coincidence, chance, fate, whatever you call it.

had we satisfied our superdog craving last week,
had we changed the superdog lunch to any other day but today,
had we started lunch at 230 instead of 215,
had we not spent some time at pet safari choosing what to get for junior,
had we not walked into daiso looking for the hairband which we couldn't find,
had we measured and bought a screen protector,
had i headed back to pet safari to buy junior a new collar,
had lilian not said she didn't want to go home so early,
had we not walked into mini toons for nothing,
had we not visited challenger,
had lilian not made a phone call while we were there,
had lilian chose to exit the store by the left (there's a shelve in the middle of the store),

we wouldn't have bumped into 8 years.


details now (which you can skip).
1) we were supposed to have superdog before ice age last week but last minute i had a meeting so we couldn't squeeze the 2 activities within the short time span, plus lilian had something on at night after ice age so we had to postpone superdog to today. we actually wanted to postpone it again cos it's a school holiday today and lilian's afraid that vivo would be too crowded. didn't in the end cos we've been dragging this for way too long.
2) i was supposed to meet her at 230 but she said she'll be there earlier so i left house earlier and reached at 210, started lunch at 215.
3) it's junior's birthday today so i headed to pet safari and spent quite some time there choosing what to get for him.
4) after leaving pet safari i realised i forgot to buy junior a new collar but then i thought i would get him a new one during CNY instead.
5) if we had found the hairband and queued up to pay for it, or if lilian wanted to buy her screen protector which we would also have to queue up for it, things would be different.
6) i actually mistook mini toons for more than words. wanted to take a look at the domo bags that's why i entered that shop in the first place.
7) during lunch we talked about wanting to visit challenger cos lilian had to buy something but soon after she said she'll get it another day. even tho so, we still drifted there because there was nothing else to do.
8) lilian saw him before i did. i turned up to look at her and her expression before glancing to my right and nudging him out of shock because it all happened in that split second. i can imagine it in slow mo! very dramatic; where time would stop just for it to happen.
9) so happens that his sis is returning to aust tmr so he took a day off today to accompany her. what are the odds!

so, how's seeing 8 years again after a full 8 months?
it occured to me as someone i know rather than it being 8 years at first.
i wasn't prepared, really,
but it's still very comforting to see him. :)
had the 心跳加速的感觉, even way after that.
oh! i met his sister too, and i still think she's pretty!

okay la although i keep going on and on about his complexion,
he's still 8 years after all.
how many 8 years can i ever find?
omg, my dream might be coming true after all haha.
(good news to those who are pro-8 years. peace recently changed her stand because of his complexion and hair haha.)
