this is one area where speaking Singlish certainly did not get us far:

we had Bird's Nest in Thailand,
and requested for it to be cold.
(7 people, but only 6 people wanted.)
what came was warm and then being the typical Singaporeans we were,
we muttered, "we wanted cold one."
so the poor waitress took back all 6 bowls.

A while later,
she came in again,
with 7 bowls.

why 7?
cos 6 warm and ONE cold.
we kinda argued for a while cos they didn't really understand English.
"nono,we wanted cold one....."
"yaya!! cold! one!!"


Rrrrright.



Oh, I really dread the commencement of school.
