Peace peace! putting /u/ and /i/ together in Guiza and then pronouncing it as GWEE is not a diphthong eh. cos /i/ retained it's original pronunciation in this case what. Unless it's being pronounced as GUI then we can say it has diphthongized cos the quality of /i/ has changed to /ei/ (after GVS).
