i took my first blood test in 20 years!

okay, so it went like this..
(quite an experience i would say)

Nurse:
*looks at my right arm, couldn't find my vein,
rubs and taps the (elbow) area. no sign of vein.
looks at my left arm. does the above.
still no sign of vein.
makes me hold the stress ball.
clench, relax, clench, relax.
vein found.
takes out needle.*

Me:
*in shock* i could see the hole of the needle. ie,the needle is big.

Nurse:
*pokes needle in.*

Me:
*watches the whole process.*
fyi, there are 3 small tubes to be filled.

Nurse, during the second bottle:
*pokes needle deeper into the vein*
"your vein has collapsed! clench and relax your fist again!!"

Me:
*does what she says, sees blood going into the tube.
heng ah.*

Nurse, after finishing:
"because drawing your blood was so difficult,
when you reach home,
use a towel soaked in warm water and compress the wound.
this would prevent bruising.
i'll apply some cream for you too."

i swear i was in total shock.
after i was done i asked my sister what did her nurse do to her.
then she said,
"i sat down, the nurse poked the needle into my arm,
and the blood started flowing."

me, "huh the nurse never say anything about bruising?
or about holding the stress ball?"

her "nope."

what an adventureeeeeeeeeee.
haha, oh!
sidetrack abit.
when i'm really feeling damn sian
i'll watch 'charlie the unicorn' to keep myself laughing.

9 years is going ntu.
the gap has widened yet again.
(to mel: he did sms me today and apologized for not getting back to me ytd. haha.)

when he called yesterday,
i tried to think of all that i could say to him.
